This project is inspired by Ismat Chugtai's story 'Sonain ka anda' which translates to- a golden egg.
The story highlights a common human rights violation that is- gender discrimination in the third world countries, while she highlights a story from Pakistan.
The golden egg is the son while the daughter is referred to as bushes full of thorns- referring to trouble with the birth of a daughter.
This project talks about male preference and highlights the societal problem in an abstract manner.
A short compilation of research has also been made in a book form by the end.
